About Adwa Cooper
The “Genyuhs End Quote” Contemporary Pop Art Project

Adwa Cooper, an emerging Contemporary Conceptual Pop Artist,
aka
"Genyuhs Pop Artist," creates engaging experience for all ages, that encourage viewers to laugh, pause, think and connect, into a vehicle for cultural inquiry. Her practice occupies the space between wit and critique, inviting audiences to engage with complex historical narratives and invite deeper conversations about history.

As one critic observed:
"Her work is often at the intersection of humor and deep discourse. She's constantly finding ways to provoke not for the sake of provocation itself, but to encourage us to examine the debates of history and, ultimately, ourselves.”

At the center of her practice is
Genyuhs END QUOTES, an ongoing body of work that reexamines the stories history chooses to celebrate and those it chooses to silence. Or how we can celebrate the object but the person behind it stay invisible. Beneath its vibrant, playful surface lies a thoughtful exploration of imperialism, race, ethnicity, labor, power, exploitation, and collective memory. By juxtaposing playful imagery with profound themes, Adwa challenges viewers to reconsider familiar narratives and question what has been accepted as truth.

Rather than offering answers,
Genyuhs END QUOTES creates moments of reflection. The series asks viewers to consider their own relationship to history and the often-unacknowledged individuals whose contributions have been essential to cultural, economic, and social progress, yet remain absent from mainstream recognition. Each work becomes both an invitation and a challenge: to question what we celebrate, what we overlook, and why.
While unmistakably playful in its visual vocabulary, Adwa Cooper's work carries an intentional duality. It draws audiences in with humor before confronting them with deeper questions about identity, representation, and historical accountability. This balance between accessibility and critical inquiry has become a defining characteristic of her practice.

Adwa often remarks that her work is best experienced with popcorn. The statement is more than a
joke, it reflects her philosophy that contemporary art should engage as effortlessly as popular culture while leaving viewers with ideas that resonate long after they leave the gallery.

Meet the Artist + Mom

GENYUHS the "Toy + Game" division was founded sometime before 2026 by 8 year old Veruschka,  game enthusiasts, who wanted to share her love for the hobby with her little sister and others.

It all really started during an endless drive home of the who, what, why questions bestowed upon a mother by an aspiring unemployed child model/actress  Veruschka Etoile Rackovic as she asked her mother, ”who invented the traffic light Mama?” and Mama replied, “You’ll learn it in school baby! Actually, no you won’t” which was followed with another question “Huh, Why?”
